Shinran Shonin

Shin Buddhism (or Jodo Shinshu - the 'True Teaching of the Pure Land Way') is grounded in the Primal Vow of Amida Buddha, which was expounded by Shakyamuni Buddha and the Dharma Masters of India, China and Japan.

Shin Buddhism was founded - almost 800 years ago - by Shinran (1173-1263), a great and famous Buddhist teacher.
